Trov, the San Francisco-based insurtech company, announced that UFODRIVE, a leader in sustainable car rental, has chosen Trov's Mobility Insurance Platform for its fleet of all-electric vehicles.
UFODRIVE will benefit from Trov's risk business combined with context-based commercial insurance managed by UK Insurance Business Solutions under the NIG brand, both of which are part of the Direct Line Group.
UFODRIVE describes itself as a fully electric, user-friendly, digital and sustainable car rental platform. Headquartered in Luxembourg, it also has offices in the UK, Germany, Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands, France and Austria, with a move to the US planned in the near future.

"The Trov team has been able to develop an insurance program that fits our unique needs," said Jonathan Shine, head of UFODRIVE & # 39; s UK operations. "By complementing our coverage with Trov's Risk Operations Technology, we have developed a solution for optimal vehicle utilization and uptime – a critical ingredient for success in 2021."
“This partnership with UFODRIVE is the first of, hopefully, many for Trov in the UK market and underscores the critical convergence of the future of transport with the future of insurance. We are delighted to help them manage their holistic risk effectively so that they can focus on providing more sustainable transportation options to consumers and businesses in London and beyond, ”said Ed Axon, Global Head of Business Development at Trov.
Trov's Mobility Platform enables UFODRIVE to more effectively monitor, manage and mitigate its insured and uninsured risks, shifting more resources to business expansion.
